Want to learn to ski or hone your technique on the slopes of Andalo but don't know your way around?

Domande sui nostri corsi

Yes, we can make pre-formed groups of friends even if, from experience, they are not generally the best solution. These groups work if the technical level and age of the participants are very similar and if situations of excessive camaraderie are not created between the participants, who at this point are more interested in skiing and having fun with each other than following the instructions of the instructors properly.

The end-of-course race is held to give the right motivation to our little students to commit themselves during the skiing week. The race is a moment of celebration and we do not want to exalt the winner but to motivate the entire group. A moment awaited by the children to whom we explain that, regardless of the result, they will all have been champions for a day.

The evaluation is made on the basis of the real abilities found at the end of the course with objective evaluations of the ability to perform certain exercises established by the F.I.S.I. methodical technical text which represents the methodology established by the Federation in the technical path of teaching skiing.

The initial selection is very important to verify the technical level of the student enrolled in the course and find the most appropriate technical level for each one. We only need a few turns to understand this and later, if we verify that the level initially assigned is not correct, we move the student on the field to another group appropriate to his level. On the first day the teachers are all in close communication with each other via radio to best fix each individual situation.

Courses generally start on Monday and end on Friday. For those who plan their vacation for the weekend, our organization also provides weekend courses from Thursday to Sunday. During the Christmas period, since most hotels have staggered arrival days that are independent of the day of the week, the Ski School guarantees placements in active courses every day. Therefore, even for those taking lessons, it is assumed that there could be the possibility of having new arrivals and departures within the groups every day.

Sometimes we move our students, with their consent, to another group and with a different ski instructor because the level is more appropriate to the skills of the moved student. Usually the move is to a group with higher technical abilities. Pupil learning is not the same for everyone so if we notice superior abilities we try to facilitate learning by moving the pupil to a ski course more appropriate to him or her.

The baby course is reserved for children ages four to five. It lasts one hour a day and takes place in our private school camp with trained ski instructors. Each instructor follows no more than four children and is suitable for taking the first steps on the snow and not making children feel isolated alone with their instructor, but becomes a game to be shared with other children.

The Full Time ski course is suitable for children from 6 years old and up whether they are skiing for the first time or already know how to ski a little bit. It is a course that keeps them busy 5 hours a day from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. with a lunch break in the affiliated huts. A wonderful course to get them skiing a lot and learning more. The real skiing week in Andalo!

The Elite course is a three-hour-a-day ski course with a small number of participants. It is suitable for children ages six and up and is a good compromise to private lessons. In three hours you have longer times that allow you to work in a less compressed manner and follow the enrolled students more closely.

At 9:00 in the morning the slopes are much less crowded and the slopes are groomed to perfection by the snow groomers. It is not necessarily colder, especially from February onwards. The groups are less crowded and there is less time wasted in queues at the ski lifts. At 11:00 instead the slopes are at their most crowded and the lines at the ski lifts are longer. The slopes are already starting to wear out and there are more bumps and dips.

You can start trying to ski as early as three years old with private lessons and at four years old with the Baby course or private lessons. Obviously this is an approach to skiing and one should not expect major results at this tender age, even if, after a few days, the children will be able to descend almost independently from the school field. A gliding experience on snow that comes in handy in later years. The commitment required of the children should not exceed one hour per day.

If you are going on a ski holiday, it is definitely better to take a group course and possibly integrate it with some private lessons.
If you are staying for one or two days, it is recommended to take private lessons, at least two per day. Private lessons are also recommended for higher technical levels, where there is a need to analytically perfect your skiing.

Yes, our students are insured during ski lessons by our solid third party insurance policy. Students are therefore covered if they cause personal or financial damage to others. The insurance does not cover personal injuries. The ski instructor's insurance policy is responsible for these if it emerges in court that the instructor is responsible for the student's injury due to his or her imprudence and professional incompetence or negligent behavior.

From December to the end of March we organize ski courses for the white weeks. The Christmas period is the most expensive and crowded period, from January 10th to the first week of February the prices are lower and the snow is generally beautiful and powdery, the slopes are not very crowded. In February the days get longer and the conditions are generally optimal while from mid-March we have ideal and very beautiful conditions in the morning while in the afternoon the snow becomes heavier, giving however unforgettable sunny days on the snow.

It is certainly preferable to be somewhat trained to tackle skiing, since it is a sporting activity that requires a fair amount of muscle tone and adequate motor coordination.

We generally offer private lessons in the early morning when the slopes are less crowded and in excellent condition, or from early afternoon, from 1:00 p.m. onwards. During the central hours of the morning, almost all the instructors are busy following group lessons. Furthermore, the slopes are very crowded in the central hours of the morning and with private lessons you run the risk of losing too much time queuing at the ski lifts. For this reason, we recommend the other times of the early morning and afternoon, when the slopes are less crowded.

No, you do not lose everything. If the lessons are cancelled at least the day before with the support of a valid reason (medical certificate or cancellation of the holiday) the lessons will be refunded withholding € 10 for secretarial fees and coverage of bank charges.

We only give the discount on group courses to holders of the Dolomiti Paganella Guest Card, issued free of charge in the partner hotels. We also give a 5% discount on private lessons, but only if you book a minimum package of 10 hours online in advance.

You always get an immediate discount with online booking, even on private lessons that we never discount otherwise (minimum package 10 hours). Alternatively, upon your arrival we will recognize a 10% discount to the holders of the Dolomiti Paganella Guest Card issued free of charge in the partner hotels. We recognize other discounts based on the agreements with particular cards listed in our offices.

By booking online you are sure to have a reserved place in our courses, or to be able to ensure the presence of your favorite teacher at the agreed time. Furthermore, by booking online you save 5% on private lessons (minimum package 10 hours) and up to 10% on group courses. Discounts that we cannot recognize at the time of registration in the office upon your arrival.

For those who stay for more days, it is sufficient and certainly worthwhile to enroll in a group course where the costs are significantly reduced compared to private lessons and where, in any case, it is possible to do an excellent job both in general and specific on each student. If necessary, the afternoon is integrated with some private lessons, if you have to overcome some particular difficulty.

It makes no difference whether you start as a beginner in one discipline or another. It is not true that to start snowboarding you must first know how to ski, as many believe.
